Buzz Day

Buzz Day on Friday 19th was a great success with the total profit of $137,267.90 be raised! The day was buzzing with excitement as we were able to cover more locations with more much needed support from the community. Our soft toy range was a huge hit with most of the items being sold out following the morning rush!

For the first time ever Diabetes Australia-NSW were present in Martin Place, the highlight of the day being a live performance by the 'Diabeats'. Martin Place was certainly enjoying the day!

This year was the 8th Buzz Day campaign and Diabetes Australia is aiming to raise over $400,000 with all the proceeds going towards diabetes Awareness, Research, Education and Advocacy programs.

Other than on Buzz Day itself you can get involved by helping to sell a box of merchandise, or purchasing a product during the month of September each year. Together we work towards hitting our fundraising targets! The merchandise on offer this year included stylish flashing pens, smart torch key rings, magnetic badges and our cute 'Buzz Bees' - all available within an affordable price range of $3 - $6.

Toll Priority, our national courier sponsors are again on board to help the fight against diabetes and are currently busy returning all the merchandise from around the country back to Diabetes Australia. Without the help of Toll Priority, Buzz Day wouldn’t be where it is today! Visit www.tollpriority.com.au for further information.

Other national organisations to confirm their support this year included:
Best & Less, Blooms the Chemist, National Pharmacies, Pharmacist Advice, Priceline, Priceline Pharmacy, Terry White Chemists, Tony Ferguson Weightloss Centres, Soul Pattinson Chemist and Medicare (NSW and ACT only).
